Fake Medical Report: EFCC Drags Fani-Kayode To Special Offences Court In Lagos

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, is currently facing trial at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos State over an alleged procurement of fabricated medical report.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had arraigned the former minister before Justice O.O Abike-Fadipe on Tuesday.

Fani Kayode has been accused by the antigraft agency of procuring one Dr. Ogieva Oziegbe to issue the fake medical report which he allegedly tendered before the Federal High Court in his ongoing money laundering trial.

Earlier reports had said that Fani-Kayode, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress, was picked up by EFCC operatives for alleged manipulation and forgery of a medical report to enable him evade his trial by the anti-graft agency.

The former presidential aide is standing trial before the Lagos State Federal High Court for alleged N4.6 billion fraud.
