Fani-Kayode: ‘May I Never Return To My Vomit Because Of Hunger’ — Omokri Hits Ex-Minister For Joining APC
Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s ex-aide, Reno Omokri, has lampooned Femi Fani-Kayode following reports of his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fani-Kayode rested several months of speculations surrounding his planned defection to the APC after accompanying the party’s caretaker committee chairman to the State House, where President Muhammadu Buhari welcomed him to the party.
The former aviation minister was an unabashed critic of Buhari and had seized every opportunity to criticise the president and the ruling party in the last seven years.
He was quoted as telling State House correspondents after his meeting with Buhari that his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC is for the sake of national unity.
But reacting to the reports, Omokri, who is equally a fierce critic of President Buhari, suggested that the former minister joined the ruling party because he is broke.
The former presidential aide wrote in an Instagram post: “Politics without shame is the bane Nigeria. This is why I urge those who love Nigeria to also love business. When you have independent sources of money, you will never call a cow your brother because you want to eat meat.
“How can you know that a person is an inveterate and incurable nepotistic tribalist, and you have said so yourself, then you now bow to him? Buhari is the worst thing to happen to Nigeria, and APC is a gathering of all that is wrong in Nigeria..
“May I never be in a situation where I will have to return to my vomit because my stomach is empty. God I beg you. I beg you. In Christ’s Name!”
