Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, has reacted to the three month ultimatum handed the Igbo ethnic group to exit northern Nigeria.

Recall that a coalition of Northern groups comprising the Arewa Citizens Action for Change, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, Arewa Youth Development Foundation, Arewa Students Forum and Northern Emancipation Network, had on Tuesday threatened to force out the Ndigbos from the region if they fail to leave within three months.

But Fani-Kayode, who took to his Twitter hours ago to react, warned the north of grave consequences that may befall the region if Igbos were kicked out.

“Threatening the Igbo and kicking them out of the north won’t help. This time round the Middle Belt and the whole south will stand with them,” said the former minister.

“We want peace by restructuring and not violence. Unleashing genocide against the Igbo or anyone else in north will have grave consequences,” he added.
