Father Scoops Out Son’s Eyes Over Choice Of Wife

A joyous day for a love-struck Pakistan man turned into a day he would forever dread as his father scooped out his eyes with a spoon for wanting to marry a woman of his choice.

The 22-year-old man identified as Abdul Baqi, suffered torture at the hands of his father and brothers because he decided to marry out of his family’s region.

Baqi hails from the Loralai district of Balochistan, while the girl he wanted to marry is from the Duki district which is said to be on a long-lasting rival with Baqi district.

However, Baqi, on his hospital bed confirmed the incidence stating that no one came to his rescue as his mother was locked up in a room by his father to avoid any interruption to their animal act.

Narrating the tragic incident, Baqi said “I requested my father and brothers that I want to marry a girl I have been in a relationship with.

“My father agreed first. But, three hours later I was taken to a room by my father and four brothers where they tied me to a bed and started taking out my eyes.

“I kept shouting at them what were they doing? But they didn’t listen to my pleas.

“My father used the back of a spoon to take out my first eye. I saw my eye dangling out of the socket; he then used a knife to cut the veins.

“When they removed my first eye, I requested them to leave me now. But they didn’t listen to me at all and removed the other one as well.

“After they finished, I pleaded with them to please kill me now but they replied they want me to be an example for other boys in the village.”

Meanwhile, Baqi was rushed to a specialist hospital where doctors confirmed he will never be able to see again.
