Fayose: My Impeachment In 2006 Gave Me High Blood Pressure

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has revealed that he developed high blood pressure after he was impeached as governor on October 16, 2006.

Fayose described the impeachment as one of the unforgettable experiences of his life.

“The day I was forced out of government was the day I will never
forget, this incident gave me high blood pressure and I asked God for
three months to know what went wrong.” he said.

He added that, “Another memorable day was when I was sworn-in again as governor of Ekiti State.”

The two-time governor of Ekiti State, who clocked 60 years on Sunday, had appeared on Our People’s FM, 104.1, Ado-Ekiti, as part of events to mark his birthday.

Fayose also revealed that he had forgiven everyone that betrayed him after he left office in 2018.

The former governor is facing money charges by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly receiving N4.7 billion from a former National Security Adviser illicitly.
