FCT Police Summon Officers Assaulting Civilians In Viral Video

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command, on Wednesday, said it has identified and summoned officers for questioning over allegations of misconduct.

This came after criticism of the officers’ alleged malhandling of two men in Abuja, the capital city.

In a video seen by THE WHISTLER, the police officers hit the two young men with sticks before pushing them into a police van and whisking them away.

The FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed that the officers have been summoned for investigation.

She said, “The Commissioner of Police FCT, strongly condemns such acts of unprofessionalism.

“All officers depicted in the video have been identified and summoned to the Command HQ for questioning.”
