FCTA Announces Water Disruption In Kubwa, Gwagwalada, Others

The management of the Federal Capital Territory Water Board has announced that there will be disruption of water supply for two days starting from Thursday, August 2.

The board dispatched the information through a statement urging resident of Kubwa, University of Abuja, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and Gwagwalada to store enough water ahead of the interruption.

They further stated that the Disruption is due to maintenance work that will be carried out on the trunk line between Lower Usuma Dam and Kubwa, located in Jabu village, and will be restored on Saturday, August 4, 2018.

“The Management of FCT Water Board wishes to inform the public, particularly residents of Kubwa, University of Abuja, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and Gwagwalada that due to maintenance work that will be carried out on our trunk line between Lower Usuma Dam and Kubwa, located in Jabu village, there will be disruption of water supply to these areas on Thursday, August 2 and Friday, August 3, 2018,” the statement read.

“Our esteemed customers are therefore advised to store enough water that will last the period. Regular water supply will be restored on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Please, bear with us.”
