FCTA Tightens Measures As Security Agents Shut Kubwa Market

The Federal Capital Territory Administration is making good its promise to ensure restriction orders are not violated as the Kubwa Market was shut down by security personnel on Thursday.

THE WHISTLER observed that the road leading to the market was blocked.

Security agents carrying arms were seen diverting traffic and urged people to move away.

Inspector Ayuba, of the Area Command Office, who spoke to our correspondent said that the people in the area were not obeying the government’s directive on social distancing.

FCTA had directed that violators of the lockdown order would be prosecuted at a mobile court.

The federal government had pleaded with Nigerians to be patient as the country battled with the Covid-19 pandemic.
