Fear Grips Pro-Buhari Group Over Obasanjo’s ‘Third Force’, Urges More Time For President

A Pro-Buhari Group, Buhari Solidarity Movement has appealed to former President Olusegun Obasanjo to give the president a space of 10 months to write whatever wrongs in his administration.

The group also called on Obasanjo to shelve this idea of a ‘third force’.

Recall that Obasanjo had recently written an open letter to the President, asking him to perish the thought of seeking another term in office in 2019.

The ex-president also proposed a ‘third force’ to correct the flaws of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the country.

In reliance on Obasanjo’s idea, a movement called Coalition for Nigeria CNM, Movement was launched on Wednesday in Abuja.

The Buhari Support group who had earlier encouraged the President to see Obasanjo’s letter as a friendly message begged Nigerians to give the President ‘10 months Period of grace’ to retrace his steps.

Vanguard quoted the group as saying, “We are by this medium appealing to you and fellow Nigerians to give the Buhari administration 10 calendar months to make amends.

“After this period, we are very sure we shall experience tremendous change. If after this 10 months period of grace, if no meaningful change is made, we shall have no alternative but to fold our arms,” the National Coordinator of Buhari Solidarity Movement, Chief Ovo Ofigo told the newspaper in Warri on Thursday.
