The police said the 28-year-old woman was identified from CCTV footage at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Wednesday morning. She was carrying a Vietnamese passport with the name Doan Thi Huong.
“The suspect was positively identified from the CCTV footage at the airport at the time of arrest,” Inspector General Khalid Abu Bakar said.
Malaysian authorities are also in search of several more suspects involved in the killing.

Kim Jong Nam, estranged half-brother of the North Korean Leader was reportedly assassinated at the Kuala Lumpur Airport on Tuesday while trying to catch a flight to Macau, China.
Investigations into the cause of the death came after the chief of South Korea’s spy agency confirmed that the 46-year-old Nam, was poisoned in Malaysia.
The spy chief also revealed that North Korea has been trying to assassinate Kim Jong Nam, who has been under Chinese protection, for the past five years.
Kim Jong Nam is the eldest son of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, and was at one time considered the heir apparent to rule the country, which has been governed by three generations of the Kim family.
He however fell out with his father after he was caught at Tokyo’s Narita Airport for trying to enter Japan on a forged passport from the Dominican Republic.
It was widely speculated that he lived in fear for his life under Kim Jong Un’s harsh regime, as the pair have had a very estranged relationship. His execution represents the highest-profile North Korean death since Kim Jong Un’s uncle, Jang Song Thaek, was executed in December 2013.
