Femi Adesina Denies Dissolution Of NDDC Interim Management Committee

Femi Adesina, a Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, has debunked the story going round that the interim committee managing the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has been dissolved.

In a tweet on Friday, Adesina stated that he never issued any statement making such disclosures.

“Please disregard a statement purportedly from me on the dissolution of the Interim Management Committee of NDDC. Merchants of fake news in action,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Senate panel had on Thursday, recommended that the IMC be desolved.

The panel also asked the president to takeover supervision of the NDDC.

The NDDC management was grilled during the week by the House of Reps Committee, over alleged misappropriation of billions of naira.

NDDC’s Acting MD, Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei, who appeared before the committee, could not give detailed account of how monies were spent under his watch.
