Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, member, representing Surulere Federal Constituency of Lagos has emerged as the Leader of the House of Representatives.
His emergence comes on the heels of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Monday meeting with the representatives.

Mr Gbajabiamila was initially penciled down by the leadership of the APC to become the Speaker of the House of Representatives, but after the emergence of Hon. Yakubu Dogara as Speaker and Hon. Yusuf Lasun as his Deputy, it was thought that Gbajabiamila had totally lost out in the quest to occupy the position of a Principal Officer in the House, reason being that, like Lasun, he is from the South West.

The emergence of Gbajabiamila was announced on Tuesday afternoon.
