Femi Kuti To Perform Alongside Beyonce, Jay Z At Mandela Festival

Nigerian artists Femi Kuti, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and D’banj have been announced as performers at the Mandela 100 Global Citizen Festival, alongside Jay Z and Beyoncé in South Africa.

Supermodel, Naomi Campbell, on Monday, announced the lineup for the Global Citizen Festival to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 100th centenary.

Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z will headline the music at the FNB Stadium alongside several other stars to include: Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Pharrell Williams and R&B chart-topper Usher, Casper Nyovest.

The festival is in honor of the former South African President, late Nelson Mandela.

Global Citizen said it hoped that the run-up to the festival would raise commitments of $1 billion to help the world’s poorest by 2030, with half of the amount aimed at women and girls.
