Festus Keyamo Declares Assets Ahead Of Ministerial Appointment

One of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 43 ministerial nominees, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has visited the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday to swear an affidavit in respect of his asset declaration.

Keyamo was said have taken the oath at Justice Nkeonye Maha’s office located at the 3rd Floor of the Federal High Court building.

The ministerial nominee, who spoke briefly to reporters at the premises of the court, disclosed that he was rushing to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to submit his assets declaration forms today.

“Please, I am sorry, I won’t be able to say much, because I am in a hurry to submit my asset declaration form at the CCB before they close for the day,” he told the newsmen.

Keyamo’s assets declaration is in compliance with Section 149 of the Nigerian Constitution which mandates Nigerian ministers to declare their assets and liabilities before assuming office.

The ministerial nominee had been screened on Friday by the Senate following his nomination among 43 others by the President Buhari.
