This was contained in a press release signed by the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Finance, Dr. Mahmoud Isa Dutse, who noted that Dr. Oseni’s appointment takes immediate effect.
According to the statement the decision to appoint Dr. Oseni was made under a management agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Industry.
The statement further described Dr. Oseni as a person with the know-how and caliber to reposition NERFUND and ensure “all outstanding indebtedness are recovered”.

Dr. Oseni was until his appointment a General Manager and Chief Risk Officer at the Bank of Industry.
