FG To Generate 5, 000 MegaWatts Of Power Before 2016 – Osinbajo
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, said that the federal government is fully committed to ensuring that there is significant power generation in the country.
The vice president said this when he attended the convocation ceremony of Redeemers University, Ede in Osun state, as a guest of honour.
According to Prof. Osinbajo, the country has recorded a marked progress in the power sector since the coming to power of the present administration.
Furthermore, he stated that the government will generate 5,000 megawatts before the end of 2015 and another 1,000 before the end of March 2016.

When asked about the composition of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial list, the Vice President assured Nigerians that merit would be the first criterion in choosing those to form the cabinet before other any other consideration.
