Finally, Entire Thai Football Team Rescued From Cave

All 12 boys and their football coach have been successfully rescued from Tham Luang cave in northern Thailand after more than two weeks trapped underground.

The Thai Navy Seals confirmed that all 13 members of the Wild Boar football team, have been rescued bringing to an end a successful mission.

An update on its Facebook page on Tuesday revealed that they are now being airlifted to the hospital.

“Waiting for four more Thai Navy Seals [to come out of the cave] who have been accompanying the kids. Please send your support to them,” the statement from Thai Navy SEALs’ Facebook page read.

The operation began at 10.08am local time on Tuesday as the first eight boys were rescued in a high-stakes rescue operations on Sunday and Monday, and are currently being recuperated at a hospital in the nearest city, Chiang Rai.

The authorities said preparations for the final rescue mission were unaffected by heavy overnight rain, as Nineteen divers assisted in the operation on Tuesday.

Recall that the boys aged 11 to 16 and their coach went to explore the caves on 23 June when they were trapped inside by heavy seasonal rains.

After they were found on July 2, officials cautioned it could take some time to get them out, but with heavy rain forecast to hit the region authorities decided to act.
