A former Minister of Communications and Works, Cornelius Adebayo, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to discharge all under-performing ministers in his cabinet and hire competent hands to do their jobs.

Adebayo, who once served as Kwara State governor in 1983, said that it is high time President Buhari listened to Nigerians who have called for the sack of some of his ministers due to their lack of performance.

“People are suffering a lot. I hope he (Buhari) is listening. I support those who say where there is no result, let us have some fresh hands to be part of the process,” Adebayo said in an interview with national newspaper.

“There are people who have vibrant ideas. Some of them should be invited and called into the government to inject their ideas,” he said.

Adebayo further charged the President to go back to the drawing board and do what is in the best interest of the Nigerian citizens.
