Former Super Eagles Goalkeeper Is Dead

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai died on Thursday following a prolonged illness.

Dodo Mayana, as he was fondly called in his active days, was a key member of the Super Eagles team that won the 1994 Nations Cup.

Rufai, 61-year-old, reportedly passed away on Thursday morning, after a long illness that kept him out of the public eye for some time.

Meanwhile, the family is yet to announce his death, but a top Lagos State Government official confirmed his death.
