Fresh Attack Hits Kaduna, 7 Dead, 5 Injured

Seven people have been confirmed dead and five others injured following a fresh attack by armed bandits in three communities in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, Kaduna state.

This was confirmed by the Kaduna state police command Public Relations Officer, Muktar Aliyu.

Narrating the incident, Aliyu said the armed bandits invaded Mashigi, Dakwaro, Sabon Gida villages at about 5 pm on Wednesday evening.

According to him, they started shooting sporadically, burning down houses and farmlands.

He revealed that the operation lasted for over three hours.

The latest attack comes just two days after the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai inaugurated a two Battalion Forward Operation Base (FOB) in Birnin-Gwari.
