FRSC Violates Road Safty Law In Viral Photo

Last week, social media went agog after a photo of a vehicle belonging to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), went viral online.

The FRSC pickup was seen inconveniently conveying overloaded pieces of furniture as it headed for an undisclosed location.

Nigerians took to social media to lash out on the FRSC over the embarrassing photo, describing the commission as lawmakers breaking the law.

The FRSC, in a statement signed by Assistant Corps Marshal, Kayode Olagunji on Wednesday, responded to the viral photo as it promised to deal decisively with the officers involved in the embarrassing act.

“Dealing with the situation. A lot of people have drawn our attention to the embarrassing picture. The corps is aware of it and we are dealing with the situation,” Olagunji said.

“The culprits will be dealt with in accordance with the extant regulations. Your concerns are well appreciated. Thanks. There is no need to continually tag me. I am fully aware, the corps will always make efforts to sanitize the system. God bless you all”.
