Fury Taunts Anthony Joshua With Come Back Fight, Says ‘I’m Gonna Stop You Inside 8 Rounds’

Tyson Fury has hinted his comeback heavyweight bout with British countryman Anthony Joshua after posting a video online stating he was “proud to be involved” in the “biggest fight ever in British boxing history”

The 29-year-old Irish born, has not been in the boxing ring for nearly two years, after he ended Wladimir Klitschko’s world heavyweight title reign in Dusseldorf in November 2015 and remained undefeated.

Fury lost his boxing licence last October when he admitted he was using cocaine and struggling with depression.

In his absence fellow Nigerian born British boxer Joshua emerged as the dominant force in the boxing business, capturing the WBA and IBF crowns and stopping all 20 of his professional opponents, the latest being his last Saturday’s victory against Carlos Takam.

But Fury likened a bout between himself and Joshua to Muhammad Ali’s ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ with George Foreman.

In a series of social media posts, Fury drew comparisons with current world heavyweight champion Joshua, saying “The old champ coming back to fight a man who everyone thinks will KO me, same as Ali vs Forman the stylish Ali vs the mummy Forman! We all know what happens in this fight!”

“I’m gonna stop you AJ inside 8 rounds watch me go, My fight with AJ will be won with my feet! Can’t hit what you can’t see! The best footwork in the game”.

He added: “A true champion coming back to claim his thrown, This is my era they are from my time, I must destroy them. AJ & Wilder I’m coming back for you pair my mission is seek & destroy the only thing on my mind is destruction whoever gets in my way will be dealt with accordingly.

There’s only 1 winner & that’s the fans! Let’s make the heavyweights great again, fight the best in the division.”

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, meanwhile, has admitted he would love to see his fighter take on the controversial former Fury next year.
