Conor Gallagher has completed his move from Atletico Madrid to Premier League side, Tottenham in a deal worth £35m.
The former Chelsea midfielder returned to the Premier League after spending 18 months in La Liga.
Gallagher left Chelsea in August 2024 for about £33m, with Portugal forward Joao Felix moving the other way.
He signed a five-year deal on Wednesday to become Tottenham’s first signing of the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old is delighted to join the club, expressing his desire to create special moments at the North London club.
Gallagher said: “I’m so happy and excited to be here, taking the next step in my career at an amazing club.

“I know how great the fans are, I’m really happy to be a part of it here and want to create special moments and memories together.”
Similarly, Tottenham coach Thomas Frank described Gallagher as a top midfielder, who will add quality to the team.
He said: “Conor is a top midfielder, who we have worked tirelessly to add to our squad.
“Conor has captained teams so will bring leadership, maturity, character and personality to our dressing room, while his running power, pressing ability and eye for goal will strengthen us in a key area of the pitch.”
Gallagher will be hoping to get a chance to be part of the Three Lions squad for the 2026 World Cup, he was an unused member of the squad at the 2022 tournament.

He made 136 Premier League appearances in total – for Chelsea, West Brom and Palace – before joining La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
He played 77 times for Atletico Madrid across all competitions, scoring seven times.
