Game Of Thrones Star, Peter Vaughan, Dies At 93

Popular British actor who played Maester Aemon in ‘Game of Thrones’ HBO series, Peter Vaughan, has been reported dead.

Vaughan, who also starred as Grouty in the sitcom Porridge, died at the age of 93 on Wednesday.

The actor’s agent, Sally Long-Innes, who confirmed the sad news said: “This is to confirm that very sadly Peter Vaughan passed away at approximately 10.30 this morning. He died peacefully with his family around him.”

Vaughan’s acting debut dates back to 1959 when he played the role of a police officer in ‘The 39 Steps’.

His role as an insurance investigator in the 1964 British crime drama film, Smokescreen, brought him much into the limelight
