Garba Replaces Bulkachuwa On Presidential Election Petition Tribunal

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has commenced sitting with Justice M. L Garba as the new replacement.

Justice Garba is the Presiding Justice of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal.

The five man panel was earlier headed by the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa.

Recall that Bulkachuwa withdrew herself from the panel following allegation leveled against her by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate in the February 23 presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over a likelihood of her being biased in the case.

The duo had claimed that she had a relationship with an All Progressives Congress, APC leader.

She withdrew from the panel on May 22.
