Gov Wike Fires Caretaker Committee Chairmen
Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has sacked the Chairmen of four Local Government Caretaker Committees in the state.
The governor, announced the sack in a statement issued by Mr Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the governor on Electronic Media, on Monday in Port Harcourt.
The affected committee chairmen are those of Gokana, Asari-Toru, Emohua and Ogu-Bolo Local Government Areas.
Although the statement did not specify reasons for the sacking of the chairmen, the governor thanked them for their services to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.
The latest development comes barely 24 hours after Wike sacked all but one of his special advisers.
Recall also that Wike, last month, sacked all his commissioners without giving reasons for the action as well.
