Governorship Candidate In Benue Caught With Bags Of Cash

A governorship candidate in one of the major political parties in Benue state has allegedly been caught with a bag full of money on election day.

The guber candidate was intercepted by operatives of the anti-graft agency, EFCC, for alleged vote-buying.

The incident occurred around a polling unit in North Bank area of Makurdi, the state capital.

Thugs loyal to the guber hopeful reportedly attacked vehicles belonging to EFCC in a bid to stop the interception.

The wads of cash found in the bag were seized by the EFCC officials.

The anti-graft agency also tweeted about the seizure but declined to mention the name of the candidate in the tweet.
