GRUESOME DISCOVERY! Dead Baby Found On American Airlines Plane At New York Airport

THE dead body of a baby has been found on a plane at LaGuardia Airport in New York.

The gruesome discovery was made by cleaners tending to an American Airlines jet when it was brought into the hangar.

Details of how long the body had been on the aircraft have not been disclosed but it is believed the baby’s body was discovered in an on-board toilet.

It is unclear if the discovery was that of a foetus or a newborn.

Authorities say the plane had arrived at the Queens hub from Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday night.

The airline’s flight tracker shows the plane, flight AA1942, left Charlotte at 8.56pm and arrived at LaGuardia’s Terminal B at 10.44pm.

It has been suggested that the discovery was not made until the next morning at around 7.30am local time.

Just before 9am local time, the airport tweeted about possible delays over the incident, saying: “American Airlines flights at Terminal B may experience some delays due to an out of service aircraft. Please check with @AmericanAir before your departure.”

However, a short while later an American Airlines spokesman told News24: “We have no major impact to our operation this morning while we are working with law enforcement on an investigation.”

An investigation has been launched by the Queens district attorney’s office.

A city medical examiner has been dispatched to the airport to assist with the investigation.

The aircraft is currently being held at LaGuardia’s Terminal B as the probe continues.
