Three lecturers of Shehu Idris College of Health, Makarfi, Kaduna State, have been kidnapped.
According to online news platform, Premium Times, the lecturers identified as, Rabi Dogo, Halimatu Malam and Dr Akawo, were kidnapped on Sunday while travelling to Makarfi from Zaria in Kaduna.
Akawo, who is the only man amongst the victims, is the director of the institution’s dental school.
“We are all not happy at all here. It is indeed a sad event.
“The department had some members of the dental association who visited the school but were lodged in a hotel in Zaria.
“We understand they travelled to Zaria where they had a brief meeting with them that Sunday. And on their way back to Makarfi, they were kidnapped,” Ahmed Rahama, a staff of the institution said.
The development comes hours after an uncle to the Senator representing Kaduna central, Shehu Sani, regained freedom from the hands of his abductors.
After ten days of negotiations with their Armed captors,My uncle Mallam Abdullahi Hassan who was kidnapped along with 30 others, on the road in Kamuku Game reserve, between Kaduna and Niger state has now regained his freedom along with others.
