Gunmen Abduct German Engineer In Kano, Kill Police Officer

Five heavily armed gunmen on Monday in Kano kidnapped a German national, Michael Cremza, working with Dantata and Sawoe construction firm.

The alarming attack which occurred along Sabon Titi Madobi Road, Kano, around 7:45 am, also lead to the death of a police officer.

This is coming one week after a Kano-based Syrian was killed while his son was kidnapped.

According to Kano state police spokesman, Musa Majia, the gunmen opened fire on the vehicle that conveyed Cremza to a construction site.

Majia further said, “The police commissioner Rabiu Yusuf has since deployed a powerful team of operatives and detectives to cordon the axis with a view to arresting the culprits and rescue the victim. Manhunt of the abductors is ongoing,

Recall that in January, two Americans and two Canadians were kidnapped in an ambush that killed two of their police escorts in the northern state of Kaduna.
