Gunmen Attack Secondary School In Ondo

Some unidentified gunmen have attacked the Saint Peter’s Secondary School in Akure, the Ondo state capital on Thursday and carted away N3 million.

According to reports, the gunmen believed to be armed robbers reportedly stalked the school bursar who had gone to the bank to withdraw the said amount.

They attacked him in the school premises and collected the money from him, the reports said.

The Ondo state police command spokesperson, Femi Joseph, who confirmed the incident, said, ‘’there was no robbery on the school, the robbers only traced the bursar and disposed him of the money.

‘’What we learnt was that the hoodlums traced him to the school after he had gone to withdraw a large sum of money without police protection. The money should be close to N3 million. He is with us; he is helping us with the investigation. We will quiz him to know whether he knows more than he claims.”
