Gunmen Kidnap Female Quarry Worker In Ibadan

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a lady working at the Delydad Quarry, Damilola Agboola, while on site.

Our correspondent gathered that Agboola was kidnapped at the quarry located in the Moniya area of Ibadan on Monday.

The gun-wielding men were said to have invaded the old Ibadan-Oyo road at around 1 p.m and whisked the victim away to an unknown destination.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident to our correspondent in a chat. 

The PPRO said, “Information from DPO Moniya revealed that, on 21/12/2020 at about 1:00 pm, one Agboola Damilola ‘f’ a worker of Delydad Quary was abducted along old-Oyo Ibadan road by suspected five-man criminal gang. 

“Immediately the information got to the DPO, he swung into action and coordinated search commenced. Effort have been  intensified to arrest the rescue the victim and arrest the  criminals. The victim would be rescued and be reunited  with her family members.

“Members of the public who got wind of the movement and activities of the captors are urges  to immediately inform the police for prompt action.”
