The armed men tied a police officer and another civilian working on the property before beating them to pulp.

“The policeman died from the beating,” a source close to the EFCC boss’s family disclosed.

Recall that the farmstead was placed under police security a few months ago following earlier attack on it.

Recall also that the EFCC office in Abuja was also attacked shortly after the attack on the farmstead.

“That was what warranted additional security around Mr. Magu and his family,” the source explained.

As at the time of publishing this report, Mr. Magu and EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, were yet to react to the incident.
