Happening Now: FCT Residents Loot Food Items From Gwagwalada Warehouse

Residents of Gwagwalada, a satellite town in the outskirt of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have reportedly invaded a warehouse in the vicinity, carting away all sort of relief materials therein.

The warehouse is located beside a WAEC office along the area council road, Gwagwalada, a source told THE WHISTLER.

Marc Sam, who revealed this in a WhatsApp conversation with our correspondent, noted that the “crowd is insane” and “everywhere is blocked like this”.

Marc Sam said the current situation has left him handicapped as he could not go about his daily business owing to the obstruction.

Also, videos on the internet have further confirmed this as residence were captured carting away food items. A background voice in a particular video noted that relief items in the repository were more than enough for everyone.

A security operative was also captured carting away food items, after he thought his actions were not being observed by anyone.

The recent warehouse invasion makes it the third time in three days that residents have looked warehouses in the FCT.

Police authorities had deployed operatives to pre-empt further looting of palliative in the FCT after invasion of warehouses in Garki and Idu.
