Harvest Of Crimes As Police Parade 105 Suspected Kidnappers, Armed Robbers

The Nigeria Police on Wednesday paraded 105 suspected criminals arrested by the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) and Special Tactical Squad (STS).

The suspects, who included kidnappers, armed robbers, gun manufacturers and drug dealers were arrested across several states in the country.

A Facebook post made by the Commander of IRT, Abba Kyari on Wednesday, said over 50 AK47 rifles and other dangerous weapons, drugs, motorcycles and cars modified to conceal and transport rifles were recovered from them.

A part of the post read: “suspects arrested confessed to multiple kidnappings and killings in several states including the attack on luxurious bus/other vehicles and the Emir of Potiskum convoy along Zaria-Kaduna road last December where several persons were kidnapped.

“More efforts in progress to arrest remaining gang members and recover more weapons while all suspects arrested will be prosecuted at the end of the investigations,” the statement concluded.
