Hazard Fires Chelsea To FA Cup Final

The Belgian scored one and assisted another as Antonio Conte’s side sealed a 4-2 FA Cup semi-final win over Premier League title rivals Tottenham to keep their dream of a domestic double alive.

Willian opened the scoring with a with a fourth-minute free-kick and the Brazilian added his second from the spot on the stroke of half-time.

Harry Kane had headed in from Christian Eriksen’s cross to equalise for Spurs, the Dane then teeing up Dele Alli made it 2-2 in the 52nd minute after flicking home a long pass from Eriksen.

However, Hazard who was surprisingly omitted from the starting eleven came from the bench, to put Chelsea ahead once more after sustained pressure from Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The Blues then doubled their advantage as Nemanja Matic drove home a thunderous drive bouncing in off the crossbar to put Chelsea into the final and ultimately extend Tottenham’s 26-year wait for the FA Cup trophy.

Chelsea, who reach their first FA Cup final since 2012, will face the winners of Sunday’s semi-final between Manchester City and Arsenal in the final on Saturday, 27 May.
