Here Is Why WhatsApp May Not Work On Your Phone In 2020

The instant messaging app WhatsApp will no longer work for some of Android and iPhone users after February 2020.

This was disclosed in its updated FAQs.

The updated FAQs noted that users of Android phones running on Android 2.3.7 version and iPhones running on iOS 7 “can no longer create new accounts, nor  re-verify existing accounts” after February 1, 2020.

The facebook-owned instant messaging platform further asked users to use phones that run on Android 4.0.3 or later software version so they are not impacted with the stoppage of service.

However considering most smartphone users change their phones regularly, most Android phone and iPhone users need not worry as WhatsApp will continue to work on their phones.
