The lockdown in most states across the country has made customers have restricted access to direct banking services. Heritage Bank in view of the inconvenience launched ” D Code”, aimed at improving banking experience.
According to the bank,the service is accessible using a USSD code – *7 45#, adding that it does not require a smartphone or data and would induce an improved banking experience.
The bank said to register for the service, customers should dial, “745 account number* last 6 digits on the customer’s debit card# and follow the voice prompt.”

The service features balance inquiry with code 7450# and airtime recharge, where the customer could dial 745amount# for self.
Similarly for customers who intend to recharge for a third party, the code to dial is 754 amount mobile number#.
The service would also enable a quick intra bank transfers by dialing 7451amountaccount number#.
The bank also disclosed that the service supports inter bank transfers, which requires customers to dial 7452amountaccount number#, however the bank did not disclose the service charge.
At any point, the service provides a smart way to change the pin by simply dialing 74500#, while for balance enquiry customers should dial 7450#.
