HID Awolowo To Be Buried Today
The remains of the late matriarch of the Awolowo family, Chief (Mrs) Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo, will be laid to rest today, 25th November 2015.
The burial of HID Awolowo would take place in Okenne, Ogun State.
Mrs Awolowo died on the 19th of September 2015, 67 days to her 100 years birthday. The burial is taking place on her birthday.

She is the second prominent Yoruba personality in recent times to be buried on their birthday.
A state funeral has been organized in honour of the late matriarch, who was the wife of the first Premier of the Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the Iyalode of Remoland, as well as the Yeye Oodua of Ife, among others.
Her burial will be attended by President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
