In a bid to promote a safe Internet environment, Nigeria Integrity Film Awards (HomeVida), has partnered Google Nigeria and the Nigeria Film Video Censors Board (NFVCB), to train about 2,000 Nigerian students on internet safety.

This was according to the communications officer of HomeVida, Ugochi Ekwueme who noted that the program will create an enabling environment for the use of online technologies among Nigerian users, adding that the students will be trained in Abuja, Ibadan and Lagos.

Since its launch in February 2015, over 2,000 students have being successfully trained under the scheme, which is in line with the Safer Internet Nigeria objective to train 100,000 students in 5 years.
