There are fears that hoodlums might have carted away arms and ammunition from the police station set ablaze at the Orile Iganmu area of Lagos State.
The police station was torched by hoodlums during the #EndSARS protest and there are claims that hoodlums have looted the armoury and went away with all the weapons there.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State, Mr Muyiwa Adejobi, when contacted said he could not confirm the development yet.
He said, ” I don’t know if the hoodlums have stolen the arms and ammunition there but what I can say is that they set the police station ablaze.
” We have not had access to the place so I can’t say if it is true that they have stolen the guns or not.”
Recall that following the burning down of two police stations in Lagos State on Tuesday, the governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state.
The governor said the curfew would start by 4pm today ( Tuesday) and only those on essential duties are allowed to move day or night.
