How Buhari Is Empowering Nigerian Youths – Malami

Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN, has said that the various youth empowerment schemes introduced by the President Muhammadu Buhari adminstration was proof that the federal government is helping the Nigerian youths to realize their potentials.

He made the remarks on Saturday in Birnin-Kebbi while witnessing a novelty football match between Azbir Arena of Kebbi State and Scorpion Arena of Katsina State, as quoted in a statement on Sunday by his Spokesperson, Dr. Umar Jibrilu Gwandu.

He stressed that the government was aware that youth empowerment is a catalyst for national development, hence, the respective interventions.

“The Minister said the Federal Government has introduced Youth oriented empowerment initiatives in order to amply utilize the talents and skills they are endowed with.

“He cited examples of N-Power programs, employment opportunities to 774,000 Nigerian youths, community policing, special loan for small and medium enterprises packages aimed at boosting the capacity and harnessing the potential of the young,” the statement partly read.

Meanwhile, he urged the youths to see themselves as assets while pursuing their ambitions in the interest of the country.

“The Minister commended the organisers of the match which he said will go along way in fostering unity among Nigerians, and encouraged them to always engaged themselves in meaningful activities for national development,” the statement added.
