How Nigerians Reacted To Abba Kyari, Boss Mustapha’s Re-appointment As SGF, CoS

The re-appointment of Mr Abba Kyari as the President’s Chief of Staff, and Mr Boss Mustapha as the Secretary to Government of Federation (SGF) on Friday appears to be triggering excitement among Nigerians.

The Presidency had announced in a statement on Friday evening that President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the re-appointment of Kyari and Mustapha to serve in his second four-year term.

A terse statement by presidential aide, Mallam Garba Shehu, read: “President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the re-appointment of Mr Boss Mustapha as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and Malam Abba Kyari as Chief of Staff (COS) to the President. Both appointments take effect from May 29, 2019.”

Some Nigerians have since taken to micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to laud the President’s re-appointment of the top officials in his cabinet.

Others however criticized Buhari for taking so long to announce the duo’s re-appointment having worked with them, and was convinced and satisfied with their ability to deliver.

Among those who congratulated Kyari and Mustapha on their re-appointment are the Speaker of House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila and  Sen Olubunmi Adetunmbi.
