Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode has said that Acting President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo ignored former President Goodluck Jonathan’s call on the day the police prevented the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from meeting at the International Conference Centre, ICC, Abuja.
The PDP chieftain stated that the former president called Osinbajo to complain about the police action, but claimed the Vice President did nothing about it.
It will be recalled that following the court of appeal judgement in Port Harcourt last Friday, declaring Ali Modu Sheriff as the PDP National Chairman, aggrieved members from the Ahmed Makarfi faction planned to meet at the ICC on Monday, February 20, but the meeting couldn’t hold as the police prevented them from gaining entrance into the venue.
Goodluck Jonathan has been playing a fatherly role in the leadership crisis of the party, as he moves to broker peace between the Makarfi and Sheriff faction.
Was part of a delegation of PDP former Ministers Forum that had a fruitful meeting on the PDP crisis with @GEJonathan today. Great meeting!

On the day that @OfficialPDPNig was blocked from meeting at the ICC by the police @GEJonathan called President Yemi Osinbajo to complain.

Sadly Osinbajo did nothing about it. The encouraging news is that @GEJonathan tried his best and showed deep concern. That is leadership.
