“Many of our children there we do not know where they are. They have all perished. It is not a matter of our animals.

“I do not know where my husband is. I have only two children in my arms. I would have raised his children,” said one woman.

On his part, the state Commissioner of Security, Abubakar Muhammad Dauran, said security personnel have been dispatched to the scene.

He also mentioned that he had no knowledge of the exact number of deaths and was “waiting for the security forces to report the exact number of casualties”.
