Almost 10 years after two prominent sons of Ogun State fell apart owing to political differences, there are indications that former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, have mended fences.

It was learnt that the peace moves was initiated by Daniel who visited Obasanjo in his hilltop home in Abeokuta late Thursday night, and was reportedly warmly welcomed by the former President.

Obasanjo and Daniel parted ways over political differences, and which led to the polarization of the PDP in the state into two factions, as well as a storng petition allegedly authored by the ex-president to the EFCC over Daniel’s eight years rule in Ogun state.

The three hours visit was reportedly convivial as the duo with other guests threw banters and discussed plans towards Obasanjo 80th birthday celebrations.

“If I still hold any grudges against you, I won’t have allowed you to come into my house. But all those are past things, and I am convinced that you have learnt your lesson’, Obasanjo told Daniel.

Similarly, Daniel expressed appreciation to Obasanjo for having change of heart, pointing out that he didn’t mean any harm against him and that he has always held him in very high esteem as the father of the nation and father of all.

He said he was comfortable to have returned into fatherly arm of Obasanjo, with assurance that he remains his son comes rain come, comes shines.
