‘I Never Hired Any Crowd’, Buhari Reacts To Turnout In Bauchi

President Muhammadu Buhari says he never hired any crowd to welcome him during his 2-day working visit to Bauchi State.

Speaking at a dinner organized in his favour at the Bauchi state on Thursday, the President said he was grateful as thousands of supporters voluntarily came out in number to greet him.

He also expressed delight over the large number of people that pour out on the streets to welcome him whenever he visits different parts of the country, despite the harsh weather

“I am very pleased that people voluntarily turned up, challenged the weather, waited in the heat for hours, just because they wanted to see me and say hello,” he said.

“I never hired any crowd because I am not in a position to hire crowds… thank you very much for the turnout.”

The President further accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of failing to make good use of the country’s resources, despite the high price of crude oil during their time.

According to him, crude oil sold above $100 per barrel between 1999 and 2014.

A very puerile way of looking at things, and too petty for a supposedly president of Nigeria. It is either he is manifesting grand political naivety in Nigeria, or deliberately that he is lying as it has become the hallmark of everything associated with him. Whoever told him that the crowds were not hired. But then, let us as usual make him happy by agreeing with him, since we did not see him come from Abuja to hire the crowds, and allow them to wallow in their grandiose believe that our skulls are filled with saw-dust after the evacuation of their brain content.
