‘I Remain In PDP’, Abia Lawmaker Debunks Defection Rumour

Uko Nkole, House of Representative member, representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has rubbished reports he has defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).

In a statement released via Facebook on Tuesday, Nkole blamed his political foes for what he described as rumors which was sent as text messages to the people of his constituency and urged the public to disregard them.

“I want to at this moment inform the general public to disregard the rumour and also reaffirm that I remain a staunch member and stakeholder in my party, the Peoples Democratic Party, both at the Local, State and National level,” the lawmaker said.

“In as much as I don’t know the reasons behind the grapevine text messages; I want to state that no amount of distractions shall elude us of our victory come 2019.”

The Federal Lawmaker reiterated his support for Abia state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu in his second re-election bid, assuring the governor of the support of his constituency.

“By the special grace of God, my constituency shall deliver our amiable Governor Okezie Ikpeazu including other PDP aspirants in the Local, State and National level,” Nkole added.
