Anambra Political Godfather Running For Senate Says ‘I Won’t Be Showbiz Senator’

The Senatorial Flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Anambra South Senatorial District, Chief Chris Uba has promised he won’t be a television senator if he is elected to the Red Chambers in 2019.

Chief Chris Uba stated this at Umunze in Orumba South and Oko in Orumba North Local governments as part of continuation of his town hall meeting with the people of the area urged the people not to look for him on television screens as he would not be in the Senate for shows.

The PDP Senatorial Flagbearer expressed dismay that those he had sponsored and made it easy for them to be voted in the past failed the electorates as they turned the peoples mandate to private and family pockets.

Uba said he decided to emback on the town hall meeting in order to assure the people of his readiness for the forth coming polls and called on them to bolt their doors on any other person contesting the election.

Noting that he was sufficiently prepared for the forthcoming polls irrespective of any resistance from any individual or from other political parties, of any opposition from any person from other political parties, Uba said he was tired of answering the political godfather without helping his constituents, noting that those who he sent to the Senate before now, disappointed the people.

He urged the people not to allow anybody to buy their conscience with money, just as he asked those yet to collect their Voters card to do so.

In the two local governments, the general population lauded the political virtues of Uba and guaranteed him of their take steps to remain with him and PDP in the following month’s decision.
