Ifeanyi Ubah Never Paid Rohr Salary – NFF President Pinnick Insists

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Boss, Amaju Pinnick has again refuted claims by the CEO of Capital Oil and gas, Ifeanyi Ubah that he bailed out the NFF from many crisis during their turbulent moments and that he also paid the salary of Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr before the NFF finally secured a corporate sponsor to foot the salaries of the coach in April.

Pinnick, in a statement issued by his media adviser Callistus Ebare, asked the oil mogul to give a breakdown of his financial assistance to the football house.

Chief Ubah in his first official reaction on the matter, posted on a WhatsApp forum, said: “It is very disappointing that the leader of our country’s football organisation will lie against all I’ve done to support him and Nigeria Football. I will make my position known through my lawyers and media aides on Monday, 18th September.”

However, Pinnick, in the statement by his media adviser said, “My principal wants to make it very clear that at no time did Ifeanyi Ubah pay the salary of Gernot Rohr.

“Also, as regards any assistance for the visit of Infantino, it will be important for anyone to give specific breakdown of this assistance.”

Speculations are rife that “a hugely disappointed” Ifeanyi Ubah is now up in arms with Pinnick and as a result will bankroll the return of Aminu Maigari as NFF president next year.
